A day out - finally!
I was lucky enough to get off work 2 hours early to spend some time with Dave! It felt like a Christmas present ;) as we both have opposing timetables most of the time.
We went and checked out St Paul's again (it is one of my favourite places in London! I got past it each day on the bus) and then went to the Tate Modern to see an exhibition called Global Cities. It was amazing, yet so challenging and moving to see what the rest of the world lives like. It was a challenge for me moving from little Perth to a big city like London. Things aren't the same. Recycling doesn't work, you don't really talk to people, consumerism is insane, you can see into your neighbours rooms every time you look outside your window. But London is the least of it. This exhibition looked at other cities around the world also, comparing the size, density, diversity etc to that of London. Insanely interesting. Check out the short video link here http://www.tate.org.uk/modern/exhibitions/globalcities/default.shtm
to see a bit of what it was about. If it comes to Perth you should check it out.
Thats all for now, next update - Daves Birthday!
